What is the difference between balance and equity in MT4? How are they calculated?

1. Balance represents the total amount of fund you have deposited into your account, plus or minus any realized Profit and Loss from your trades.
Balance = Deposit amount + Realized PNL

2. Equity represents the real-time amount of your account, including your account balance and the unrealized Profit and Loss from open trades you currently have.
Equity = Balance + Unrealized PNL
